Originally constructed for Zambian president, Doctor Kenneth Kaunda in 1972 as his personal holiday home / safari lodge, Chichele was another large and decaying lodge once owned by the parastatal ‘National Hotels’. In 2018, the Chichele property as well as the newly relaunched sister camp Puku Ridge, was purchased from Sanctuary Retreats / A&K in a collaboration between the Cumings Family of Chiawa Camp & Old Mondoro, and Chichele Safaris. This beautiful property offers incredible hospitality, soft adventure AND a serious safari pedigree.

The feature rich Chichele Presidential blends in and connects with the landscape, and features the most incredible views in Zambia. Enhanced by tall arches, expansive decks with private plunge pool, outdoor dining, outdoor shower and, because of its supply of clean hydroelectric power, air-conditioning and wifi, a massive bed swathed in sumptuous linen, a huge bath, his and hers washbasins, the lodge is also decorated to world class standards.
